Mark your calendars – Nancy Callan will be returning to St. Petersburg as our featured artist in April, 2017. Callan’s glass career spans over 20 years and has taken her around the world as a guest artist and educator. A graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, she became an integral part of maestro Lino Tagliapietra’s team in 1996, where she learned and developed advanced cane and murrini techniques from the Maestro. Saturday, May 14, 5-10pm Static Flow with Zac Gorell Artist’s reception Saturday, May 14, 5-10pm with glassblowing demonstration beginning at 6pm. The exhibit runs through June 6, 2016. Since taking his first gather of glass in the fall of 2001, Zac has been practicing the craft as well as teaching others all over the world.  Beginning his career in Cleveland Ohio, Zac had his ‘baptism by fire’ at  Superior Hot Glass.  In these fertile grounds a foundation was laid so Zac could acquire and hone the skills necessary to become a master gaffer.
