Join us this upcoming 2nd Saturday, April 8th from 5 to 10 pm as we welcome Seattle glass artist Nancy Callan to St. Petersburg!
Callan’s work showcases fanciful imagery using whimsical patterns made with Venetian cane techniques that she has been refining for over ten years. Her bright color combinations convey a spirit of fun, imagination, and the playful side of the unconscious mind.
Sponsored by the DMG School Project, Callan’s glassblowing demonstration begins around 6:15 pm in the Hot Shop, for all to witness this amazing artist work her glass magic.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the musical stylings of the Henry Ashwood Jazz Project from 8-10pm while you munch on some homemade cuisine from our famous chalkboard food truck, which will be outfitted with imagery from Callan’s repertoire and thematic fare to complement the evening.
Until then, watch Nancy’s “Ted Talk” here.
