Looking for a Creative Way to Spend Your Saturday?

By March 18, 2017November 14th, 2018Events, School Project

DMG School Project hosts classes at the Duncan McClellan Gallery and our very own St. Petersburg Hot Glass Workshop every 3rd Saturday of the month!  Try your hand at etching, or sculpt your own artwork out of hot glass with the help of our team of expert glassblowers.

Do you love our wine glasses, but want to personalize one of your own? Etching projects include a wine or “pils” glass, plate, or lantern that is yours to keep, or bring your own item to transform into a beautifully frosted piece!  Classes begin at 10 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm, or call us to book your private etching class for groups of 20 or more people on the date of your choice.

Interested in hot sculpting? Our Introduction to our “Hot Glass Experience” begins at 10:30 am and teaches you the basics of hot glass design and manipulation through a series of beginner projects. Items created in class are yours to keep. Please call in advance to reserve your spot as classes fill up quickly!

If one day doesn’t satisfy your curiosity and desire to work with hot glass, we also offer a 3-week Intro to Glassblowing course that gives students the opportunity to expand their skillset, under the guidance of our glass artists.
