Master Pate de Verre class with Deanna Clayton

Beginner Level-no experience needed.
February 8th – 10th

Friday : Class & Evening VIP reception 10-5pm
Saturday: Class, evening Art-walk Opening 10-5pm
Sunday: Studio time, Demonstration, Lecture  and Brunch with Deanna Clayton. 10-5pm

This class can be enjoyed by everyone. The cost of the class includes instruction and materials to create one open bowl form about 6″ diameter. Price of the course includes shipping, as firing takes three days. Finished pieces will be shipped the following week.

Participants will start the day working on a wax bowl form, creating texture and pattern on a ready made form. They will then cast a mold of the form and apply the glass into it. The pieces will be put in the kiln and fired.

This 4 day experience will also contain a VIP private cocktail party on Friday evening. Saturday evening monthly art walk opening.  Sunday lunch and lecture at the Museum of Fine Arts with Alexis Silk and Deanna Clayton.

Additional information:

-What to wear: closed toed shoes and cotton clothing

-What to bring: drinking water/ water bottle

-Picking up finished glass pieces: students may pick up their finished work during the week following their class at the Duncan McClellan Glass Gallery office (Tuesday- Saturday 10am-5pm)

-Shipping finished glass pieces: students can arrange to have their finished pieces packed and shipped to them for an additional charge.

-Cancellation policy: cancellations must be made by phone at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled class time. We cannot refund cancellations made less than 24hrs in advance.
